See the adder, barred grass snake, smooth snake, slowworm, common lizard and the sand lizard are all waiting to meet you (as well as dozens of species of birds) and summer is the best time to see them. The Arne Welcome Centre, at Arne village (4 miles east of Wareham) is open from 9am to 4.30pm, where they'll direct you to the best places to look on the 565 hectare site.
