About 3 miles awayStaffordshire, perhaps unexpectedly, is home to 140 Barbary macaques, normally found in north Africa. Monkey Forest, in Trentham, has an enclosure and 3/4-mile forest walk, so you should get a chance to meet many of them. Have a feast (although you can only feed yourself) - you can watch the monkeys having lunch too at quarter past each hour.
